This bag makes me happy. It's the most glorious shade of neon coral with the perfect shade of purple suede inner. It's a soft buttery yet..
She is everything we ever set up Young British Designers for: groundbreaking, risk-taking, conversation-starting, challenging and oh so Lond..
Is there a fashion obsessed female in the world who hasn't wanted a Chanel jacket at some point in their lives? I certainly have.
I've aspired to that degree of utterly exquisite sophistication a certain boxy tweed jacket gives you, whether worn over jeans or shift dress.
And if I'd never met Kinder Aggugini I'd no doubt still be longing. But hanging on my wardrobe door is the navy Drummer Boy Jacket from Kinder. It has a look of Chanel but it's a little bit more me. It's just perfectly cut of course, it's Kinder Aggugini so this goes without saying. It's sort of boxy but a little more fitted. The blue wool is sheer luxury with raw edging and red piped accents. It has that Kinder lining and those Kinder ribboned cuffs. It's so not like Chanel and so like Chanel in its very being. It makes me feel utterly cosseted and spoilt when I put it on. And special.
This is a standout jacket. A piece that will be tomorrow's vintage. Sought after, treasured, longed for. But you can't seek out mine. That's staying exactly where it is. In my wardrobe. Or on me. Right until I'm a little old lady. When I will rock the old people's home to the very core wearing my Drummer Boy Jacket from Kinder Aggugini.
I must say the jacket is lovely but not really me. I'll just have to keep saving up for the Chanel tweed jacket!
But I do love Kinder Aggugini though. His SS2011 show during London Fashion Week last month was fab and I particularly loved the chunky/statement jewellery he used to accessorise the collection!
