This bag makes me happy. It's the most glorious shade of neon coral with the perfect shade of purple suede inner. It's a soft buttery yet..
She is everything we ever set up Young British Designers for: groundbreaking, risk-taking, conversation-starting, challenging and oh so Lond..
It was South Africa. I was 8 years old. The sun was high in an endless sky. I ran about our garden and with a sideways glance to the house (mum inside) I pulled a white sheet from the line. Wrapped it about me and twirled and whirled around, again and again....
At that moment I knew what it was to be a girl...and that I could have the most wonderful times dressing up and being a girl, feeling that euphoria, time and time again. My whole life long.
When I see a Felicity Brown creation I am that girl. Yesterday at London Fashion Week I wanted to twirl forever in a sunlit garden. This is why I love her.
Such a lovely story! It brings back memories of my first ever favourite dress, a tiered flounce dress in navy blue cotton with cherry print. I used to twirl endlessly in it when I was six.
Thanks for the trip to memory lane!
Oh, and by the way, I love Felicity Brown's dresses too, particularly the one of the right of your image.
