Olivia Rubin’s collections always excite me and fill me with joy. I adore the simplicity of the coveted ‘Brick’ print. I particularly enjoyed her Spring/Summer10 collection inspired by famous painted artworks. Looking at her recent Autumn/Winter 10/11 collection it took me a little while to realise what I was looking at in the muted nude and peach tones… Bugs – this explained the drawn bugs that crawl across the screen of her website. Creepy Crawlies and bugs are not usually my cup of tea but in Rubin’s graphic drawn style and beautiful hues the print really works and is not at all creepy but fun and playful. (more…)
