Background
Ada designs dynamic desirable fashion that is both sexy and elegant yet futuristic and avant garde. The brand also responsibly sources all eco and sustainable fabrics and manufacturing.
Ada is first and foremost an outstanding designer, who creates beautiful, cutting edge, inimitable collections with the added dimension of sustainable business practises being core to the brand DNA. Ada is known for her visionary concepts which combine high fashion with a serious commitment to the environment. Ada has received recognition for her work in ethical fashion. In late 2009 she was selected for the Estethica eco fashion mentoring program by the British Fashion Council and has enjoyed a productive relationship with her mentor Bev Malik. Notably, Ada has been placed in The Observer's top 50 of the Courvoisier 'Future 500' latest intake.
Ada has also increased her reputation as one of the fastest rising, creative stars in London through her recent private commissions, creating pieces for a number of music industry innovators. She created a visionary album and tour wardrobe for Patrick Wolf and has had commissions for Bishi, Robots in Disguise and Stephanie O'Brien of the Puppini Sisters. Ebony Bones is also a fan. Most recently Ada has been designing for Viktoria Modesta and St. Saviour from Groove Armada. Ada regularly exhibits at Esthetica during London Fashion week and at Rendez Vous Femme, Paris. After the success of her first solo show in 2010 she picked up significant new stockists in Belgium and the US as well as in UK.
Inspiration
Ada Zanditon's AW11 collection is mysteriously entitled 'The Cryoflux'.
Once again Ada paves the path for ethical fashion, continuing to win both awards and respect for her pioneering, creative and intellectual approach to womenswear.
Cryoflux takes as its inspiration the extreme climates of Antarctica. A place where life forms are scarce yet beauty is to be found everywhere. Reflected through a cool colour palette of navy, marine, flame and dark flame, Zanditon plays to her signature aesthetic of architectural design utilising the fluidity and structural elements of her heavily textured and unique fabrics: Melton wool, Scottish tweed, shantung silk, double ombre chiffon and black vegetable tanned leather.
As ever immensely gorgeous and very wearable.
How does it make you feel?
Bold and beautiful.
