Created in 2003 by Colin McDowell, fashion historian and Sunday Times Style Contributor, in order to help British fashion regain its place as the powerhouse of cutting edge, iconoclastic talent in design and creativity to continue the tradition of Vivienne Westwood, Hussein Chalayan and the late Alexander McQueen. Fashion Fringe is an annual project, launched to find and nurture undiscovered British designers. Finalists are showcased at London Fashion Week.
