Background
Joanne Stoker never fails to excite and astound. Graduating from the prestigious Cordwainers College in 2009 with a Masters in Footwear Design, she has won many awards in her career to date and started her own shoe label with mentoring from Jimmy Choo himself.
For AW11 Joanne Stoker has further consolidated her position as a London Fashion Week 'One To Watch'. The 'Empire States' collection is a modern and edgy take on an influential art movement and this time all eyes are on the shoes.
Inspiration
Inspiration has been taken from the New York skyline, from the marble and precious stones used in graphic floor patterns, furnishings and stained glass windows. Colour is rich and moody with an eclectic mix of the metallic, the angular and the softest luxe Italian leather.
