Caroline wears YBD's Anciela Melissa Jacket & Trousers
I worked in Fashion Retail for nearly 10 years before changing careers to have my family. I think I was always interested in British Design. From meeting Lee McQueen in the store I worked in to visiting London Graduate Fashion Week shows in the noughties, I’ve always tried to keep updated on emerging and established British designers across the UK.
After I had my children I wasn’t working in the Fashion world but I’d still obsess over sourcing outfits and following trends…or my take on trends. I remember looking in vain for a practical stylish raincoat I could wear whilst pushing a pram and came across Kate Sheridan's Iconic Batwing coat which I promptly purchased from YBD!
In recent years I’ve found Sideline and Kitty Clogs through YBD and encourage my followers on Instagram to check them out for unusual or emerging design that will remain in your wardrobe for many years.
I was delighted to attend London Fashion Week in collaboration with YBD. To see fabrics and designs up close again was an enriching experience for the audience but also so encouraging for Young Designers to get their work seen again. I wore a suit by Anciela London, stocked at YBD. A beautiful brand I came across thanks to YBD.
If you are looking for slower fashion choices, sustainable fashion options or emerging British talent then YBD is a great place to visit for inspiration.
I have collated my 15 Wish List items available at YBD here.
Though there are many more, these are my current favourites. Let me know what you think!
