Sometimes a pair of shoes gets into your head and won't let go. You can see yourselves in them, see them making every outfit burst into life, see everyone staring at your gorgeous new heels. What you absolutely can't see is your life, your wardrobe, your summer without them.

T's been that way with me since I laid eyes on the Sirena skyscraper heels from Atalanta Weller. They are everything I love about young British designers and they are everything I love, personally, in a shoe.

They are high. But being made by Atalanta I know that I will be able to walk in them all day long with that peculiar springy comfort only her designs give me. They have an element of strapped up bondage about them. Something that makes me feel at once secure yet with a touch of naughty rebel about it too.

They have been created in an inspired colour way of Bamboo (a sort of soft camel shade that works so well with sunny day legs) and Poppy on heels and soles (a sort of orangey red that zings into view and sings of summer in a fresher than Louboutin kind of way).

Three times NEWGEN winner Atalanta Weller just goes from strength to strength whilst staying true to her bold, graphic and retro futuristic design signature.

The Sirena is my favourite so far....unless, of course, you include the up and coming AW12 collection. But that's a whole other story.
