(Jena.Theo AW11) People are shivering. Cardies are being pulled from wardrobes again. There's a sense of having been cheated out of a long Indian Summer. Of having missed out on any Summer at all. Mornings are started by standing in a confused, blank faced huddle in front of an open wardrobe that seems to be parading racer back vests and denim shorts. And cardies. They stayed all season long. But what did we wear when it wasn't quite Summer? What did we wear last Autumn? Are sandals still okay to wear or can we give in and reach for the beloved ankle boots, first with bare legs and then with leggings, opaques, long socks? When, is the real question, when is it time to give up and admit Summer is done and it's now time for the 'T..
As I pen this I can hear buzzing away comments such as: 'I'm a size 26' 'I'm a size 4' what good is this to me? But the point is this: Many of our wonderful young designers are now designing across a range of sizes and on our site now you can find the sort of fashions that used to stop at a 'huge' size 12 now reaching size 16. Now able to accommodate the majority of the UK's most average sizes. We're really proud of this and of the young designers leading the way. When Marc Jacobs announced that he was going to introduce a plus size range there was much debate about whether this should be larger sizes of existing designs or a 'specially designed for larger women range'.
