How to return an item

  • Get a Returns Number: Log in to ‘My Account’ at and select “RETURN AN ITEM” next to the order you wish to return. Select the item you wish to return and complete the ‘Reasons for Return’ box. You will then receive an email with your Return Number.
  • Pack Your Items: Securely re-wrap your item(s) in the original packaging, remove the Young British Designers Address label from your Invoice and place it over Your address label on the box. Please ensure that you write your Returns number on this label.
  • Royal Mail Process: Visit and complete your details. Royal Mail will then send an email with a Returns Label which you can print at home and arrange a collection, or a QR code which you can take to any Post Office and the label will be printed for you.

Guest Check Out

If you wish to Return an item and you checked out as a Guest either:

  • Follow the link in your order confirmation email to create an account and then follow Step 1 to create a Returns Number.
  • If you do not wish to create an Account, please contact to arrange the return. Please note that no returns number will be generated for Guest Check outs.

Returns Policy

We hope you’ll love your order, but if it isn’t quite right returning to us is easy. You can return unworn item(s) to us within 14 days of receipt for a full refund; your statutory rights are not affected. This service is free for all returns within the UK for Young British Designers Account Holders. For Europe and the rest of the world the returns charge will be the same as the original shipping charge provided our returns policy and process is followed. This will then be deducted from your refund amount.

In the event that Free Shipping has been applied to the order a return fee of £12 for Europe and £20 for the rest of the world will be deducted from the refund amount.

The item(s) should be returned unused and in perfect condition, with all tags still attached. Any additions, including charms and dust bags, should be included in your return. All returns should be sent back to us in their original packaging. Returns that are damaged may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returned goods:

  • If the item has been worn or the tags has been removed
  • If the item isn't in the exact condition as when sent
  • Earrings and hosiery cannot be returned for health and hygiene reasons.



All successfully returned items will be credited to the original payment method, you will receive an email notification when your return has been processed. Please note that refunds can take up to 10 working days from the date we receive a return; this is due to our processing and quality control practices, and the varying processing times between payment providers.
